Notice on Self-Assessment CME
Beginning in January 2014, the method for obtaining ABPN self-assessment (SA) CME from The Carlat Psychiatry Report will change.
We now offer a specific SA subscription for $377 that consists of 12 months of The Carlat Psychiatry Report and a bonus Medication Fact Book. Subscribe here.
The Carlat CME Institute is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education.
Each issue of The Carlat Psychiatry Report provides: a maximum of one (1) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM and a maximum of one (1) CE credit, with the exception of our once per year double issue, which offers two (2) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM and two (2) CE credits.
All AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits TM earned through The Carlat Psychiatry Report newsletter are approved by the APA, by the ANCC for recertification, and are certified to fulfill the ABPN’s Self-Assessment requirement for maintenance of certification (MOC).
Newsletters are available in one or two year subscriptions, single issues of each newsletter may be purchased individually in our A la Carte CME section. A one year subscription to The Carlat Psychiatry Report entitles you to up to 12 hours of CME or CE credit at no additional charge. A la Carte CME credit hours are listed per activity.
Activities are valid for one year following the newsletter print date.
In order to receive credit, you must read the complete issue of the newsletter and take the corresponding quiz on the "CME Quiz Center" page. You must achieve an 80% or higher in order to receive credit. Once the quiz is completed, click "Submit" for your immediate results. You will have two chances to pass the test.
After completing the evaluation survey, you will then have an opportunity to select your certificate to be printed.
Our Continuing Medical Education program has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the sponsorship of the Carlat CME Institute.
