Victoria Hendrick, MD, is Editor-in-Chief of The Carlat Hospital Psychiatry Report and a clinical professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is the director of inpatient psychiatry at Olive View—UCLA Medical Center, where she carries a caseload of patients and provides teaching and supervision for medical students and psychiatry residents. She has authored or co-authored over 75 research papers, editorials, books, and other publications.

Daniel J. Carlat, MD, is the founder and president of Carlat Publishing and is an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is the author of The Psychiatric Interview and co-author of Prescribing Psychotropics: From Drug Interactions to Pharmacogenetics, the Medication Fact Book for Psychiatric Practice, Treating Alcohol Use Disorder: A Fact Book, and Treating Opioid Use Disorder: A Fact Book.
