Carlat Publishing(“Carlat”) publishes the following materials on a subscription basis:

• The Carlat Psychiatry Report — 10 issues per year

• The Carlat Child Psychiatry Report — 4 issues per year

• The Carlat Addiction Treatment Report — 4 issues per year

• The Carlat Hospital Psychiatry Report — 4 issues per year

• The Carlat Geriatric Psychiatry Report — 4 issues per year

• The Carlat Psychiatry Podcast — published weekly or biweekly

• The Carlat Psychotherapy Report — online article archive

• Carlat Psychiatry Webinars — released monthly

By selecting any of these services, you agree to pay the corresponding annual subscription fee in advance. Depending on your subscription type, you may receive:

• A print copy of the publication

• Access to digital versions and/or downloadable PDFs via email

• Access to online post-tests for continuing education certificates

Subscription materials will be released only after full payment is received. If payment is not received, access and delivery will be withheld until payment is completed.

Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:

1. Permitted Use

You may use the subscribed materials for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not offer them for sale, license, or redistribution to any third party.

2. Copyright and Attribution

All materials are protected under copyright law. You agree to take all commercially reasonable steps to safeguard Carlat’s intellectual property and to include the following attribution when sharing excerpts:

3. Limited Educational Sharing

You may share unchanged excerpts (up to 250 words per article) with no more than five colleagues for non-commercial educational purposes. You may not share entire issues or distribute excerpts through public or institutional channels. For broader use, contact us for group or institutional licensing.

4. Prohibited Modifications

You may not modify, adapt, or alter any subscription content. All shared excerpts must remain intact and unedited.

5. Restrictions on Printing and Reproduction

The materials may not be printed, copied, posted online, published, or converted to other file formats, except as expressly permitted above. Derivative works based on the content are not permitted without prior written consent.

6. AI and Machine Learning Use

You are expressly prohibited from uploading, submitting, or incorporating any part of the subscription content into artificial intelligence tools, large language models (LLMs), machine learning systems, or automated content-processing services—including but not limited to tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar—without prior written consent from Carlat Publishing. Violation of this clause constitutes a material breach of this agreement and may result in immediate termination of service without refund and potential legal action.

7. Subscription Duration and Renewal

Subscriptions are valid for one year from the date of purchase and do not auto-renew. You will be notified via email prior to the end of your subscription term with the option to renew.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time, but no pro-rated or partial refunds will be issued.

9. Fee Changes

We reserve the right to increase subscription fees. Written notice will be provided to you at least 30 days in advance of any fee change.

10. Limitation of Liability

You assume sole responsibility for all use of the subscription materials. You agree to indemnify and hold Carlat Publishing harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of the content.

11. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.

By subscribing, you confirm that:
