Beginning in January 2014, the method for obtaining ABPN self-assessment (SA) CME (MOC) from The Carlat Psychiatry Report will change.
In order to comply with new ABPN regulations, we will no longer be offering one SA credit for every issue of TCPR.
As of January 1, 2014, Carlat Publishing will offer SA credits via a one calenda year (January through December) subscription, plus a bonus medication fact book with CME test. This product will be worth 8 SA credits and 16 Category 1 CME credits. The subscription can be purchased at any time throughout the year, but all pre-tests and post-tests must be taken online by December 31, 2014. This product will fulfill your entire year’s SA credit requirement.
After January 1, 2014, no quizzes from previous issues of TCPR will be eligible for SA credit. Previous issues will remain active and eligible for regular Category 1 CME credit for up to one year from their date of publication (as they always have been).
The regular TCPR subscription will continue to offer ACCME Category 1 credit. The changes listed here are ONLY for those seeking ABPN self-assessment credit in addition to their regular Category 1 credit.
Carlat Publishing remains committed to providing top-quality unbiased medical education to our subscribers. If you have any questions about these changes, please contact our CME Department at cme@thecarlatreport.com.
