It’s been tested in many psychiatric conditions, but shows the most promise as an adjunctive treatment to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors for compulsive behaviors like obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania, nail biting, and skin picking. Evidence is modest but encouraging.
